hile the first five chapters are unisex (the second being a diamond-set reproduction of the first), Chapter 6 is entirely devoted to women, celebrating them through its five models. This is a nod to the BA111OD team, which is predominantly female. Together with Senior Designer Liliane Murenzi, they have designed a self-winding collection of contemporary elegance, offering a palette of shades ranging from subtle to bold, to suit every woman.
This new Chapter was brought to life by BA111OD Senior Designer Liliane Murenzi. Drawing her inspiration from the fresh tones of nature, but also from the geometric motifs she is particularly fond of, she wanted to offer very feminine Swiss-made pieces, displaying hours, minutes and seconds. With a 36mm case and slim, rounded lugs in steel (with or without yellow gold PVD treatment), the designer has favoured slender shapes, while maintaining the crown at 4 o’clock - the Maison’s signature.
The opening on the dial, which is vertically oriented, with the detail of a tinted glass disc - revealing the heart of the watch, a self-winding mechanical movement - enabled her to play with the brand’s codes, between skeletonisation and transparency, on a sunray dial, available in champagne, ash grey, mint, sky blue, and ice white. The design is distinguished by a notched bezel which, in continuity with the sunray dial, creates captivating plays of light for added sparkle.
As for the leather straps in this collection, they are equipped with 2 NFC-connected chips, one of which can be used to store your business card (or any other file you wish to share), and the other to provide direct access to your BA111OD boutique, enabling Afluendors to send a direct link to purchase the brand’s watches and be rewarded for doing so.
Founded in 2019, the brand is innovating not only in its models, but also in the way it markets them. The initiator of we-commerce, Thomas Baillod, explains: “We-commerce is about acknowledging that we have moved into the digital model, but bringing back emotion and human contact. The transaction takes place online, but the experience takes place in real life, between people driven by the same passion for fine watchmaking”.
