2019 marks the centenary of the creation
of the Bauhaus, an exacting movement,
the precepts of which still exert a
profound influence on us, whether
we realise it or not. According to the
Bauhaus, formal expression, stripped
of any superfluous decorative effect, is
the direct expression of the function
that the ergonomically designed object
is intended to perform. That’s not to
forget the democratic requirement of
perfectly balanced value for money.
